An Easter Message From Rick

John 20:9 reveals something about people—we don’t easily believe or understand. When Peter and John arrive at the tomb and find the Lord’s body gone and His grave garments folded neatly, it is only THEN that they understand He must rise again.

That moment of revelation changes everything for them.

Why didn’t they understand everything before that point? Why were they surprised by the resurrection?

We humans are slow to understand. I am glad the Lord is patient with each of us and why His grace extends so far. Let us be mindful of this as we celebrate Easter this month. Let us also give and pray to help missionaries reach a world full of people who don’t yet understand.

Hundreds of millions need a witness, exposure to the gospel message, and abundant opportunity for the Spirit to bring them to a saving understanding of Him and a right relationship with Him.
